I worked out late last night and therefore had a sleepy start today. I kept losing my focus at work. Once I miss those morning “heavy phone call” hours, I feel like the day is shot. To get out of my mid-day funk, I walked over to the bookstore (my favorite location) and scanned the career/reference/education sections. I found a great resource book from BusinessWeek. It not only lists the most popular companies to work for, but it also presents data on their internship programs. The best part is that it lists company phone numbers and some employee names. This book is going to save me so much time. And time-saving techniques are like Christmas presents for entrepreneurs! Yahoo!
I sat at the bookstore for a good two hours before deciding to just spend the $18.50 and purchase the book. It lists tons of great internship facts and information. Did you know that in 2007, 57 percent of students hired for entry-level jobs had internship experience? Oh yeah–that’s why we need an Intern Queen!

Another great place to look is at your local Chamber of Commerce events page. Sometimes it benefits you to attend a major US citie’s Chamber event to receive more contacts and opportunities than if you stayed in your local town’s area only.
