A Savvy Start:

A young entrepreneur builds her media empire

Monday–An Entrepreneur’s Best/Worst Nightmare

Most people hate Mondays. It means the evil work week is about to begin. This is not the case for me nor for most entrepreneurs. For me, Monday is a fresh start. Monday is a day of productivity. The only problem with Mondays is, what do you do when your Mondays are not productive ? What happens when you have nothing to show for your Monday ?

I felt a little bit down on my Monday this morning. I didn’t get up early to work on anything in particular… In fact, the only thing I got up early for was to catch up on Rock of Love episodes. Yes, I’m addicted to that show on VH1. Luckily, though I felt a tinge of the Monday morning blues this morning walking into work, I was able to stop it by going to Starbucks on my lunch break and being super-proactive. I got one of my clients a few interviews for potential summer internships this morning and made a great connection with an HR director. My focus right now is getting my clients interns and internships for the summer, and trying to grow the business in that way.

Was my weekend productive? Well, let’s say it was better than it has been. It was my friend’s birthday on Saturday night, and I spent Sunday in a local bookstore. I saw the movie 21, which I really liked and recommend.

Not much else to report on this Monday…signing off…

I love Mondays too! But I think it is because I always have Tuesdays off. We are so alike.
